Jack and Jill History

Jack and Jill's first stage debut together was in The Miss Melbourne Drag Competition in 2004.

There rendition of Lady Bump (Kath and Kim) was a crowd pleaser,

and helped Jillette to win the Best up and Coming crown for the year.

Shortly afterwards Jack and Jill were joined by Hillary Hoist,

becoming ‘The Newbags’ – a popular, but short lived trio, who aim was to make people laugh.

The Newbags, much like The Jack and Jill Show, was aimed at making people laugh and have a good time.

In Jan 2005, Jack and Jill teamed up with the Showbags for The Madonna show.

After the huge success of the Madonna show, Jack and Jill were keen to produce there own show,

and later that year they formed The Manly Sisters with Melbourne Drag Performer Kris del Vayze.

Kris brought much experience to the troupe, a seasoned dancer and drag performer.

The Manly Sisters worked regularly around Melbourne for the coming 2 years,

producing a number of shows including
Battered Broadway - Three Girls, One Dream and every Wig for herself!

and breaking the record for the longest running Drag Production in Melbourne.

The Sound of Music Drag Show, a Showbags and Manly Sister production

Drags aloud continued the success of the Manly Sisters and Showbags,

with seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and

the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland during 2007.

In Late 2007, Jack and Jill and Drags Aloud parted ways with both parties keen to pursue new challenges.

After returning from Edinburgh, Jack and Jill formed The Jack and Jill Drag Show

and can be seen on stage together each Friday night at Templebar Precinct in Collingwood.
