About
Jackie Stevens
Jackie
works
weekly
at
some
of
Melbourne's Favourite Drag
venues,
and
has
reputation
for
quirky
and
unique
drag.
Comfortable
with
the
big
ballad
or
a
camp
classic, Jackie is
an
all
round
performer!
Don’t
let
Jackie’s
shy,
quiet
appearance
fool
you.
She’s
a
devil
underneath.
A
background
in
music
gives
Jackie
the
skills
needed
to
edit
the
soundtracks
for
all
their
performances
and
when
she
lets
loose
on
stage
as
a
solo
performer
or
a
lead
in
their
group
numbers,
Jackie
rips
up
the
stage
and
positively
shines.
No
stranger
to
comedy,
a
natural
quick
wit
shines
through
in
her
more
obscure
numbers,
whilst
her
love
of
contemporary
music
shines
through
Jackie
also
has
a
firm
grasp
on
more
dramatic
song
portrayals.
The
latest
technology
is
a
habit
that
we’ve
tried
to
get
her
away
from,
but
to
no
avail.
So
we
gave
her
the
position
of
Graphic
Designer
and
Marketing
Director.
Jackie
teamed
up
with
Jillette
Jones
to
become
the
popular
‘Jack
and
Jill’
duo
and
when
joined
by
Hillary
Hoist
became
‘The
Newbags’
a
popular,
but
short
lived
trio
before
forming
the
Manly
Sisters
in
2005.
In
2007, Jackie was a forming member of Drags
Aloud, working on such shows as The Sound of Music Drag show and Grease The
Drag show, going on to perform at the 2007 Melbourne International Comedy
Festival and also the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Jack
and Jill continue to work together each Saturday night, with "The Jack and
Jill Show". Jackie
has been apart of a number of productions, including Coming Out, Battered
Broadway, The Madonna Show, The Sound of Music Drag Show, Greece The Drag Show,
Spag and Drag, Girley Temple and That 60's Show. Most recently Jackie
has been performing in the Priscilla Tribute show, Queens of the
Disco.
